Follow Our Progress at St. Paul’s School!
Thanks to your support and solidarity, we have broken ground on a new Pre-K to 6th-grade school building! This project is part of a long-term plan that includes retrofitting and re-purposing the old school building, transitioning to solar power, and reinforcing the agricultural education program on campus.
As for the current Pre-K to 6th-grade project, we'll be posting photos below for the rest of the summer and invite you to follow along with us! Tech N Tech, a Haitian firm based in Port au Prince, is the general contractor on the project. They were chosen after a thorough and open bidding process and come with excellent references. A committee of local professionals from Petit Trou is closely monitoring the progress and performing quality checks on a daily basis. Their work is overseen by two independent Haitian engineers, both licensed in Haiti and both with Master's degrees from Canadian universities. These engineers, Yvener and Christopher, visit the site at least every two weeks and correspond with our committee and/or with Tech N Tech daily. We've got a ways to go but we're off to a great start! We look forward to keeping you posted.
Thank you for making this project possible, and thank you for continuing to stand with students and families in Haiti.
