A New Executive Director

The Colorado Haiti Project is thrilled to announce that David Hintch will join the organization as our new Executive Director on July 1st.  David brings to our work a 20-year background and passion for international development work, strong managerial skills, effective fundraising background, and strong experience working in Haiti.  David has held roles as Senior Manager, Country Director, and Regional Representative providing leadership for successful health, nutrition, disaster/emergency, community development, and education programs both in the United States and internationally.  He has worked in over 15 countries in Africa, Latin America, Central Asia, and the Caribbean.  David is joining the Colorado Haiti Project from the Aga Khan Foundation USA, where he served as Senior Health Program Officer.  Previously, David has managed programs and regional portfolios of health and development projects with the American Red Cross, Catholic Relief Services, RTI, and CARE International.  David is highly regarded by his peers for his technical expertise and management effectiveness, and is described as highly personable and a man of deep integrity.

David and his family will be moving in June to Colorado from the Washington D.C. area.  They are looking forward to being back in Colorado, having lived previously in Grand Junction, where David served as Executive Director of the Western Colorado Region of the American Red Cross.

After stepping in last summer as the Interim Executive Director for a one-year period, Susan Everhart will re-join CHP’s Board of Directors, and looks forward to working with David in this period of continued growth for the Colorado Haiti Project.

Please join us in welcoming David Hintch!
